Steel Processing and Fabrication Services
Most steel beams need more than cutting to length before they reach site. We supply the beam with the processing already done, so it arrives ready to install.
Buying a beam is rarely the whole job. It needs cutting to the length on the drawing, it often needs holes for the connections, it may need cleats or end plates welded on, and if it is going to be seen or is going anywhere near the weather it needs a finish. Doing any of that on site is slower, messier and harder to get right than having it done before the steel is loaded.
We supply the full range of structural sections, and the processing is arranged alongside the steel on the same order rather than as a separate job you have to chase. The finished beam is delivered direct to site.
Get this priced with your steel
Send us your engineer’s drawings and we’ll price the steel and the processing together — one order, one delivery, one point of contact.
Steel Beams Cut to Size
Steel arrives from the mill in long standard lengths. Almost nobody needs one of those. We supply beams cut to the lengths on your drawing.
Steel Beam Drilling, Notching and Holes
Bolt holes for connections, holes for services, notches to clear existing structure — all done to the engineer’s details before the beam leaves for site.
Welded Cleats, End Plates and Connections
Cleats, end plates and base plates welded on before delivery, so the steel goes together on site instead of being fabricated there.
Steel Beam Painting, Priming and Intumescent Coating
Primer, decorative topcoats and intumescent fire protection, applied before the beam is delivered rather than around it once it is installed.
Galvanised Steel Beams
Hot-dip galvanising for steel that is going outside, staying exposed, or living somewhere damp — arranged with the beam and delivered ready to install.
If you are not sure what processing your job needs, send us the engineer’s drawings. We will work out what has to happen to the steel before it arrives and price the whole lot together.
Ready for a price?
Send your drawings or a cutting list and we’ll come back with quantities and a price, steel and processing together. Large and small orders both welcome.
We supply structural steel across London, the South and the Midlands, delivered direct to site. Information on this page is general guidance; specifications for your project must come from your structural engineer.
